Umer Rupani is a Masters in Arts candidate at The George Washington University in Organizational sciences with a focus on Organizational Management. By taking perspectives from Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Communications, and Business Management, he has learned to take a holistic and systems thinking approach as to how organizations can form, function, and be managed.
His experience has come through voluntary services. He is the co-¬founder and Associate Director of H.O.P.E. (Helping Organizations and People Everywhere) Inc., a non¬profit organization based in Atlanta, which embodies the values of: awareness, civil society, and financial support, with a holistic approach to education. He is also the Director of Volunteer Experience & Development for a nationally run day-camp, where he manages a team of 6 to train local teams across 12 cities and produce 6 days of training materials.
Umer’s interest across many fields has led him to excel in several areas. He is an avid traveler, having visited 20 countries across the world, begun work on his first screenplay, is a novice photographer and ukulele player. His hope is to help non-profits succeed in deepening and widening the impacts they have the potential to make.
